Gillian McDunn is an award-winning children's book author who writes books about family, friendship, and home.
When Sea Becomes Sky, the story of two siblings who discover a mysterious statue in the Carolina saltmarsh, won the Southern Book Prize. Honestly Elliott, the story of a boy with ADHD who loves to cook and struggles to belong, won a Schneider Family Book Award Honor.
